Science Communication/Health Education
Science Communication and Health Education has been a staple of my career, working with audiences from K-12 to adults. Breaking down complex topics into palatable terms using hands-on modeling and relatable metaphors is my forte. I believe learning should be fun and that anyone is capable of acquiring information to improve their health.
Public Speaking
As a gifted orator, I design my talks with the audience in mind. The goal is to connect with listeners, evoke curiosity, and leave patrons feeling empowered to take on the challenges of today. I leave you with the tips, tools, and strategies needed to make the changes we seek a reality.
Administrative Strategist/Consultant
Organizations often face obstacles associated with challenges, whether from internal or external influences. I have 15 years of experience designing and implementing departments, programs, and projects. I help people get out of their way by expanding their lens on an issue. Problem-solving often benefits from an outside perspective; fresh eyes can identify small tweaks that pull the right levers within a system moving people and projects forward.
For 20 years, I have worked with STEM and pre-health student organizations to support students, trainees, and early professionals on their journey to and through STEMM. My tremendously successful mentorship model centers on the individual’s strengths, builds confidence, and combines knowledge of various pathways with administrative understanding of academic medicine and a vast network. I have former students locally, nationally, and globally who attribute their success to having had me as a support at some point in their careers.
